Best friends

Gleich zwei ganz gute Freundinnen meiner Menschin haben Geburtstag. Sie machte mal für die eine eine Karte und das Papier gefiel ihr so gut, dass sie gleich die andere ganz ähnlich gemacht hat.

Auf der unteren Karte wollte sie keinen echten Schmetterling verwenden, obwohl ich ihr angeboten habe, einen zu fangen. Sie sagte, sie nimmt lieber den von Magnolia und schmückt ihn mit Glas-Glitzer. Tja...ich sage, ein echter Sommervogel* hätte da besser ausgesehen...

Two very good friends of my human friend celebrate their birthdays. Sie made the first card with beautiful paper and she liked it so much she decided to make the other one similar.

She wanted to put a butterfly on the second card and I offered her to catch one. But she'd rather take the Magnolia one and put some Glass Glitter on it. I think a real one would've looked prettier...

Autsch, meine Menschin hat grad ein Pantoffel nach mir geworfen, ich kann also definitiv nicht gut singen...dabei wäre das Lied ja perfekt zu dieser Weihnachtskarte!

Meine Menschin sagt, dass die Zeit viel zu schnell vergeht... also ich finde auch, den ganzen Tag zu schlafen und zu essen und einfach zu sein geht immer viel zu schnell vorbei. Aber meine Menschin wollte sagen, dass es schon wieder Donnerstag ist und eine neue Chellenge startet bei NightShiftStamping. Diese Woche lautet das Thema

GLITZER

was nicht so ganz das ideale Thema ist für meine Menschin. Sie mag zwar Glitzer schon, aber nur in Massen. Für eine liebe Bloggerfreundin, mit der sie ein paar Stempelabdrücke getauscht hat (man hilft sich ja schliesslich aus unter den Bastlern, sagt sie), hat sie dieses Kärtchen gemacht. Es ist extra nichts drauf, damit die Glitzerseite davon gut zur Geltung kommt.

My human friend says, time passes by too quickly...I agree. Sleeping all day long and having a snack or two in between naps, these times pass very fast every day. But actually she wants to say that it's Thursday again and a new challenge starts over at NightShiftStamping. This week's theme is called

GLITTER

This isn't so much down my human friends alley. She likes glitter, but not too much. For a very nice Bloggerfriend she made this card. They changed some stamp prints (yeah, she says that fellow crafters help each other out).

The card is very simple on purpose, so that the glittery side of it comes into its own.

November Blues

Im November Geburtstag zu haben findet meine Menschin blöd. Glücklicherweise ist ihrer im August. Ihr tun alle Menschen Leid, denn November ist einfach immer nur grau und neblig und sie kann auch nichts dafür, aber sie findet das den blödsten Monat im Jahr. Ich habe ihr gesagt, dass kann sie so nicht sagen, sonst sind viele andere Menschen beleidigt, aber sie will ja nie auf mich hören. Sie sagt, die Menschen werden das dann schon verstehen und nicht persönlich nehmen.

Hm, ich weiss nicht so recht...

Aber wenigstens macht sie auch im November schöne Karten!

My human friend thinks it's dull to have birthday in November. Luckily she's born in August. She pities all humans who celebrate their birthdays in November, because it's always grey and foggy. She can't help herself but she thinks it's the silliest month of the year. I told her not to say so 'cause all November-humans might be offended. But she says she's sure they won't be offended and know that it's not a personal insult.

Hmmmm, tricky statement...

But at least she also makes some nice cards for November birthday humans!

Happy Holidays...

..heisst das neue Thema bei NSS diese Woche. Meine Menschin muss sich ein bisschen sputen mit den Weihnachtskarten. Diese hier ist für jemanden besonderes, solch aufwändige Karten kann sie nicht für alle machen, sonst müsste sie im Januar starten.

Übrigens hat meine Menschin die Form so noch nicht gesehen und sie hat gepröbelt und getüftelt (und geflucht, aber sie sagt, dass ich euch das nicht verraten darf...). Jedenfalls wird es nicht die letzte dieser Arte sein. Und sie hofft, dass die anderen, die sich macht, gebunden sein werden mit dem Zutter.

...is the new theme called over at the NSS challenge blog. My human friend has to hurry up with her Christmas card production... this one is for someone very special. Not all get such a complex card, otherwise my human friend had to start in January to finish all cards until Christmas.

By the way, my human friend never saw such a card in the internet and she experimented and puzzled out how she could create it (oh: and she swore but she said I'm not to tell you!). It won't be the last of this kind and she wants to do the others with the Zutter.

Ja, auch zwischendurch haben noch Menschen Geburtstag... schliesslich gibt es zur Zeit ja auch noch anderes als Halloween und Weihnachtskarten. Und so hat meine Menschin mal einen Digi-Stamp verarbeitet. Digis sind ja gut und recht, aber ehrlich gesagt steht meine Menschin mehr auf Gummistempel...

Eine neue Challenge startet heute wieder bei NSS und das Thema lautet diesmal

SKETCH (Challenge #92)

und die Vorgabe ist einfach ideal, um viele kleine Schnippsel von Papier endlich aufzubrauchen. Meine Menschin hat davon nämlich ganz viel unnötige kleine Reste, sagt sie. Und obwohl sie nicht so gerne nach Sketch arbeitet, ist dieser hier einfach perfekt, um einige Reste super gut aufzubrauchen. Da die Papiere alle so toll sind, hat sie extra nicht noch mehr draufgetan auf die Karte.

A new challenge starts over at NSS and this weeks theme is

SKETCH (challenge #92)

and the sketch is perfect for using many of your little leftovers of paper. Sketches are not so really down my human friends alley, but this one is quite a good one, she says. She finally could use some of her leftovers. The papers are really nice so she didn't put any other stuff on the card.

Endlich benutzt meine Menschin mal keine Mäuse, Hasen oder anderes Getier für ihre Karten. Ich habe ihr den Magnolia Stempel mit der Katze rausgeholt und ihr auch noch den passenden Spruch dazugelegt.

Sie hat den Wink verstanden und eine Karte daraus gemacht.

Hallo ihr Lieben

Hi out there

Heute bin zur Abwechslung mal ich dran mit schreiben. Erstens liegt Bailey grad im Solarium (auf dem Küchentisch unter der Lampe) und zweitens kann sie ja gar nicht wissen, wie es in Irland war, denn sie war ja daheim, mein süsses Baby!

Today it's my turn to write a post. Bailey lies under her private solarium (on the kitchen table under the lamp) and besides that, she has no idea how it was in Ireland, 'cause my cute little baby stayed at home!

Da ich grad keine Karte zu zeigen habe (das sind alles noch Geheimprojekte, psssst...), zeige ich euch halt ein paar Bilder von meinen Ferien in Irland. Hach, das war so schön, es war wie heimkommen nach 14 Jahren und kaum hatte ich einen Fuss auf die Insel gesetzt, da war alles wieder da, es war, als wäre ich nie weg gewesen!

I have no card to show you at the moment (those that I have are secret projects, shush!) and that's why I show you some pics from my hols in Ireland. It was so nice, so beautyful, so magnificent. It was like coming home after 14 years and it felt to me like no time has passed since left. It was like I've never been away!

Bilder können kaum zeigen, wie es auf dieser Insel ist. Wer schon mal da war, der kennt das vielleicht. Man kann die Stimmung und die Farben einfach nicht einfangen mir der Kamera.

Pictures can hardly show you the sheer beauty of this island. Those who have been there may know that. You cannot capture the atmosphere and the colours with your cam.

Auf dieser Insel kann man die Magie spüren, man spürt die Zeit und die Geschichte dieses Landes, die Menschen sind stolz auf ihre Insel und sie verbinden keltische Bräuche mit der modernen Zeit, als wäre es das normalste auf der Welt.

One can feel the magic and the history of this land, the people are so proud to be Irish, they love their past and history and they are darn proud of their Island. They unit celtic customs with modern times as if it was the most normal thing on earth.

Und natürlich sind meine Ferien durch die Bemerkung eines Iren gerettet: "Bist du oft gereist?"-"Nein"-"Frage nur, weil du einen irischen Akzent hast"

Juhuuuuuu, nach all den Jahren hört man es immer noch, das ist einfach unglaublich! Irland, ich liebe dich!

And my hols were safed 'cause of the remark of an Irishman. He asked me if I'd travelled a lot and I answered no. He then said that he asked because of my Irish accent, which he can hear. After all these years I still have an Irish accent, wowzie, this is sooooo totally unbelievable! Ireland, I love you!
