My human friend lets me make this post today. Again she has no time for a commenting round. She just visited a few but now she has to give up. She'll be around in a few days, sorry peeps!

 

This card is her last card for the Scraphouse Blog. She has decided to leave the team. She wants to say thank you to her team mates and especially to Marjolein who invited her to the team last year.

 

Sorry, short post only, I have to check what she is up to...she might fill my bowl with yummie food (it's empty since hours...!!!)...

Meine Menschin lässt mich heute noch schnell einen Post machen. Leider hat sie schon wieder keine Zeit, um euch alle zu besuchen. Sie hat ein paar Blogs besucht heute, aber nun gibt sie wieder auf (der ganze Sonntag geht sonst für's Kommentieren drauf...). Sie wird in ein paar Tagen zurück kommen, sorry Leute!

 

Das ist ihre letzte Karte für den Scraphouse Blog. Sie hat sich entschieden, das Team zu verlassen und bedankt sich bei den anderen Teamies und besonders bei Marjolein, die sie im letzten Jahr eingeladen hat, dabei zu sein.

 

Sorry, das wird wieder nur ein kurzer Post, ich muss schauen, was meine Menschin so treibt. Kann sein, dass sie mir meinen Futternapf auffüllt, der sit seit Stunden leer...

This is a sceduled post. My human friend had no time to comment a lot this week, she says she is so sorry about this. But they got a new CEO in the office and the members of the management decided that she should be his assistant. Well, she already has a lot of work with four lawyers and an apprentice. And then when she comes home she has to clean the house that we all make dirty. She is a bit pissed off at the moment, believe me!

 

But onto her card. It's a new challenge over at Sketch N Stash, it's Angies's sketch this time and first my human friend thought: oooooh that's a hard one... but then she had the idea when she picked the papers and the image. And this is what she made. Hope to see you all over at SNS!

Das ist ein vorbereiteter Post. Meine Menschin hat im Moment eine Menge zu tun im Geschäft udn kommt einfach nicht zum Kommentieren. Sie sagt, es tut ihr Leid. Sie hat im Geschäft einen neuen CEO bekommen und die Geschäftsleitung hat bestimmt, dass sie mal seine Assistentin sein soll. Nun, als hätte sie mit den anderen vier Anwälten und dem Lehrling nicht schon genug zu tun...Und wenn sie dann heimkommt, muss sie noch den Dreck, den wir alle machen, putzen. Sie ist im Moment echt gereizt drauf, glaubt mir!

 

Aber nun zu ihrem Kärtchen. Es startet heute eine neue Challenge bei Sketch N Stash und diesmal hat Angie einen Sketch gemacht. Phu, erst dachte meine Menschin, der ist ja so was von schwierig, aber nachdem sie die Papiere und das Motiv gewählt hat, war's dann ganz einfach! Und so ist das Kärtchen dann entstanden. Hoffentlich macht ihr auch mit!

Boo to you

Thanks to all the get well wishes for me. My tummy is a bit better now. After the meds that my human friend gave me didn't help over the last few weeks, she has grabbed some of my poo and sent it to the lab. Now they can dig in it and find out what it is. I hope they have a nose protection on because it stinks, mind ya!!! Tee hee...

 

We are starting our October Challenge over at Scraphouse now. My human friend choose the theme **Halloween** and for those that are not celebrating it we have the alternative theme **Purple**

 

My human friend combined both themes in one card... homestly I saw her making this one last year!!!! But she forgot it in her drawer and now she is thinking about who will get it... Probably her Mum, she won't be insulted of getting an "old" card, because she will not know it's an old one... tee hee!

Vielen Dank für alle eure guten Besserungswünsche. Meinem Bäuchlein geht es schon viel besser. Nachdem alle Mittelchens, die meine Menschin mir gegeben hat, nichts genutzt haben, hat sie nun ein bisschen von meiner braunen Sauce genommen und ins Labor schicken lassen. Die können jetzt darin wühlen und herausfinden, was nicht stimmt. Ui, ich hoffe, die haben einen guten Nasenschutz an, das stinkt, sage ich euch!! Hihi...

 

Wir starten heute eine neue Challenge bei Scraphouse. Meine Menschin hat das Thema **Halloween** gewählt und für diejenigen, die kein Halloween feiern, haben wir das Alternativthema *Violett* ausgesucht.

 

Meine Menschin hat beide Themen auf ihrer Karte vereint. Ganz ehrlich, ich habe gesehen, dass sie diese schon letztes Jahr gemacht hat und nun überlegt sie sich, wem sie diese alte Karte schenken könnte... vermutlich ihrem Mami, denn die ist bestimmt nicht beleidigt, dass sie eine alte Karte bekommt, hihi...denn sie weiss es ja nicht, weil sie den Blog nicht liest!!

I am such a poorly little baby says my human friend. Since weeks I have a nasty bug that gives me the squitters. My human friend hates when I have it because I tend not to hit the sand in my cat loo and all goes on the floor and runs over the side of the loo. And my human friend has a very sensitive organ of smell...

But enough of this poo-theme...yuk!!!!

 

Here's another birthday card that my human friend made. And now we are off to the craft room and then to a huge blogging-commenting-round.

Ich bin so ein armes Kätzchen sagt meine Menschin. Seit Wochen habe ich wieder einen hässlichen Käfer, der mir Durchfall macht. Meine Menschin hasst das, denn ich neige dazu, mein Kistchen nicht zu treffen und so ist dann alles auf dem Boden nebenan oder läuft über die Seite des Katzenklos. Mit ihrem sehr sensiblen Riechorgan findet meine Menschin das überhaupt nicht lustig...

Aber genug von diesem versch... Thema...Igitt!!!!

 

Hier haben wir eine weitere Geburtstagskarte, die meine Menschin gemacht hat. Und nun gehen wir noch ein wenig ins Bastelzimmer und danach kommen wir bei euch vorbei zum Kommentieren.

My human friend is pretty busy… she keeps ignoring me when I want some cuddles, she’s such a meanie! Serves her right that she has a guilty conscience. She thinks she is a bad blogger at the moment. Yeah, she is soooooo right…and she is a bad cat-owner too!!! You know what she did this morning? I jumped on the bed to give her some cuddles and I purred so loud that she pushed me off the bed. She’ll miss me when I’m dead, you bet!!!!

Anyway, she soon will visit your blogs.

Once again she made a shaker card, her most favourite card-style. Isn’t this cute C.C. stamp the sweetest thing ever? She loves them even more than Magnolias or Saturated Canaries (but shhhhhhhh…don’t tell anyone!).

 Meine Menschin ist recht beschäftigt…sie ignoriert mich auch, wenn ich Streicheleinheiten haben will. Sie ist ja so gemein! Geschieht ihr recht, dass sie ein schlechtes Gewissen hat, weil sie denkt, dass sie zurzeit eine schlechte Bloggerin ist. Sie hat ja soooo recht… wisst ihr was sie heute Morgen gemacht hat? Ich bin zu ihr aufs Bett gesprungen und wollte mit ihr kuscheln, dabei habe ich so laut geschnurrt, dass sie mich genervt vom Bett geschubst hat. Sie wird mich mal noch vermissen, wenn ich tot bin, darauf könnt ihr wetten!!!!

Egal…sie wird eure Blogs bald besuchen.

Einmal mehr hat sie eine Schüttelkarte gemacht mit einer der süssen C.C. Design Stempelchen. Schüttelkarten sind ihre Lieblinge und sie mag sogar die süssen C.C. Design Stempel mehr als Magnolias oder Saturated Canaries (pst, nicht verraten!).

A Mermaid for Mum

Still have to make it quick and short... new lappie is plugged in and male human friend will make it work for my human friend. As soon as it works, we will come and visit your blogs, sorry for being absent!

At the birthday party of my human friend her Mum saw all her cards that my human friend got and she was very fond of a special card from Lotta (we will show all cards in a later post). And she has asked my human friend to make her a birthday card with a Mermaid on it...

...here she goes, that's Mum's birthday card and we want to enter it to the ATS Wednesday Challenge with the theme: Anything goes!

I'm back in blogland woo hoo!!

Thanks so much to all our lovely cyber friends for being so patient. My human friend finally has her internet back and it's supposed to be much faster...well...we did some commenting now (and we'll come around on Friday and Sunday to all the blogs that we don't manage to visit tonight) and it's a bit faster, but not as much as we have expected. But that might be due to overloaded and piccie-stuffed and heavy blogger-headed blogs lol!

For a friend whose birthday is in August my human friend made this lovely card with the cute Tilda from the new collection. Isn't the yummie little animal sweet? My human friend says I should stop drool over it or I have to pay for her new lappie when it has a short-circuit due to my drivel! Spoil-sport, that's what she is!!!

Herzlichen Dank an unsere lieben Blogger-Freudne da draussen, die so geduldig sind mit uns. Meine Menschin hat endlich ihr Internet zurück, das soll einiges schneller sein, als es bisher war...nun...wir haben vorhin angefangen ein bisschen zu kommentieren (und am Freitag und Sonntag kommen wir auf alle zurück, die wir heute nicht mehr schaffen) und so viel schneller ist es jetzt nicht, bloss ein bisschen schneller. Das kann aber auch daran liegen, dass einige Blogs vollgestopft sind mit Bilder und schweren Blogger-Outfits...

Für eine nette Menschenfreundin, die im August Geburtstag hat, hat meine Menschin diese Karte mit der süssen neuen Tilda gemacht. Ist das nicht ein leckeres Kerlchen da auf ihrer Hand? Meine Menschin sagt, ich soll sofort aufhören zu sabbern, sonst muss ich für einen neuen Laptop bezahlen, weil ich alles besabbere...Die ist so eine Spielverderberin!!!

Christmas in July...

..fits the current Scraphouse Challenge (first post of today) too! It's raining cats and dogs here in our part of Switzerland and my human friend is the only one who enjoys it!

For her Christmas card she used blue and white and tons of pop-up colour. And as you can tell she uses lots of flowers on winter cards as well. But me thinks that they don't look inappropriate with all the snow on them. She likes it more than her other DT card.

Gonna Miss You

My human friend made a card for the retirement of a nice co-worker in her office. She'll miss Maja who was the secretary of the Borad of Directors and Management, just like my human friend is.

She is still in awe (my human friend, not Maja...). Yesterday she enjoyed another live performance of Celtic Woman in Zurich and it was once again overwhelming. These Irish lassies have angelic voices, it makes one cry it's so beautiful, my human friend says.

Now she'll go for a walk with her boyfriend (he is complaining because she never has time for him...but I always cuddle with him, I'm much better than she is!!!).

Meine Menschin hat zur Pensionierung einer lieben Arbeitskollegin diese Karte gemacht. Sie wird Maja vermissen, die ebenfalls Sekretärin der Geschätsleistung und des Verwaltungsrats war, genau wie meine Menschin.

Sie ist immer noch ganz entzückt (also meine Menschin, nicht Maja) vom gestrigen Abend. Wieder einmal war sie am Konzert der Celtic Woman in Zürich und es war wie jedes mal einfach überwältigend. Diese Irischen Ladies haben Stimmen wie Engel, die einem zum Weinen bringen, weil's so schon ist, sagt meine Menschin.

Jetzt geht sie noch ein bisschen mit Schatzi spazieren, der beklagt sich schon, weil sie immer im Bastelzimmer ist und keine Zeit für ihn hat. Dabei kann ich viel besser mit ihm kuscheln als sie!!

aca: anonymous craft addict!

I sneaked into the bureau to write this post. My human friend is already in bed, she is very tired. She has a lot to do in the office. Got another new co-worker and as always (or she says that it starts to become a bit taken for granted...) it's her that has to show the new lady everything. That's very tiring to explain everything and then do the daily work beside this. And at home she has a lot to do and her weekends are packed with dates and it starts to stress her.

So please don't be sad if she is not here in blogland...she will visit you as soon as she has a few hours time, probably on Saturday afternoon or Sunday. Promised!!

In the office she has the acronym "aca", that's for Alessandra CAlligaris. But it could as well be Anonymous Craft Addict. Last week she was hungry and made herself a yummie soup with these little pasta-letters and she got the cool idea to use them in a card as well...she even thinks of crafting while cooking dinner!!

I told her not to play with food, but she wouldn't listen. When I play with my food (alive mouse) she thinks it's not funny at all. Please, someone explain me the difference!!!!!!

Ich habe mich ins Büro geschlichen um diesen Post zu machen, denn meine Menschin schläft schon tief und fest. Sie ist so müde, weil sie so viel zu tun hat im Büro. Schon wieder ist eine neue Arbeitskollegin gekommen und wieder (oder sie sagt, es ist schon fast selbstverständlich geworden) muss sie diese einarbeiten. Das ist echt ermüdend, wenn man nebenbei noch genug zu tun hat! Dann hat sie ja noch zu Hause so viel zu tun und die Wochenenden sind auch vollgepackt mit Terminen und das stresst meine Menschin ganz schön!

Also, bitte nicht böse sein, wenn sie momentan nicht im Blog unterwegs ist, sie holt alles auf. Wahrscheinlich am Samstag oder Sonntag, versprochen!

Im Büro hat meine Menschin den Kürzel "aca", der steht für die Anfangsbuchstaben bei Alessandra CAlligaris. Aber er könnte auch für Anonymous Craft Addict (Anonyme Bastlersüchtige) stehen... letzte Woche hat sie sich nämlich eine Suppe gemacht mit den tollen Pasta-Buchstaben und ihr ist sogleich eine Idee gekommen, wie sie die im Bastelzimmer verwenden könnte. Sogar beim Kochen denkt sie ans Basteln...

Ich habe ihr gesagt, dass man mit dem Essen nicht spielen darf, aber sie wollte nicht hören. Dabei schimpft sie mit mir immer, wenn ich mit meinem Essen spiele...was da wäre: eine lebende Maus. Kann mir bitte mal jemand den Unterschied erklären???!!!

Tutorial for Hair Gel Card

Hi folks

OK, now here comes the tutorial on how to make a card with hair gel. My human friend steals the gel from her boyfriend because she has no own gel for her long hair. I heard him this morning in the bathroom, he was wondering where all his gel went to!! I tried to tell him but he did not understand my meow's and purr's. What a pity...I'd love to see him scold my human friend like she scolds me all the times!

Anyway...she made a tutorial and bossed me around to take piccies. She knows I'm a bit helpless with taking piccies. My paws are not made for taking pics. She doesn't understand this. I hope you'll find the pics useful, peeps!

CREDIT GOES TO MINDY WHO MADE THE TUTORIAL IN THE MAGNOLIA INK MAGAZINE!



1.

You need your coloured image, a baggy, some distress ink refill to dye the clear hairgel and of course you need your hubbies hairgel (or your own, but my human friend swears that it's better to use someone else's gel...)

 2.

ONE drop of the distress ink refiller only!! Let the drop fall into the baggy

 3.

this should be the max amount of hairgel to put into the baggy to the drop of distress ink.

 4.

Close the baggy tightly

5.

mix the drop and the hairgel with your fingers

 6.

it should look like this when finished mixing it together

 7.

then choose your spellbinders (or you can make it square like here and here)

 8.

cut your image to the size you prefer (make sure that it's smaller than the baggy's size but still big enough for the spellbinder)

 9.

now push back the gel on the top and bottom of the baggy like shown in the pic below

grab your cellotape

put your pic upside down onto the baggy

 12.

tape the upper loose part of the baggy to the back of the image and also the under part

my human friend also tapes the still open right and left sides like shown in the piccies below. Hope you know what we mean!

now it's time to cut out a piece of design paper of your choice. It should be slighly bigger than the image. If you want to, you can make two layers like my human friend did

Now you can decorate your card as you like. This is the finished project of the cute little Mermaid!
