I wish I could take off my fur!! It would be lovely to have a zip and get undressed. It's terribly hot, we had 35°C today and it will be just as hot tomorrow. My human friend hates the heat too, but she says that her weather (cool and cloudy) is more likely to be during the year.

So enjoy the sun, it soon will be gone again!

Ich wünschte, ich könnte mein Fell ausziehen. Wäre es nicht herrlich, wenn ich einfach den Reissverschluss aufmachen könnte und mich dann ausziehen könnte? Es ist unerträglich heiss, wir haben heute 35°C und morgen soll es auch nochmal so heiss werden! Ich hasse diese Hitze und meine Menschin auch. Aber sie sagt, dass ihr Lieblingswetter (kühl und bewölkt) mehr im Jahr "zur Verfügung" steht. Darum: geniesst die Sonne, bevor sie wieder weg ist!

but not the blues, only the colour blue. My human friend used it for her card. She is not really the blue type but we suppose that the human who gets this card loves blue.

Thanks for all your lovely comment on the last post. My human friends just wants to rectify that she does not feel obliged to comment. But she is a polite young lady and she thinks it's very rude not to comment back when someone leaves a comment on her blog. And she certainly does not expect a comment back, but don't you think it's a bit dissapointing when you comment on someones blog more than just a few times and never ever get a comment back? We think it's totally rude and that's why we return the favour. Because it's give-and-take, don't you think? We just don't comment back right away, we take it easy and make our round when we have time and are in a mood to comment.

Okay, I better check my human friends boyfriend...he fumbles with the BBQ and I don't want the funny thing to explode. I have to supervise him and warn my human friend if something gets wrong!!

Meine Menschin hat nicht den Blues, nur die Farbe Blau. Die hat sie für ihre Karte verwendet. Sie ist zwar nicht der Blautyp, aber diejenige, die diese Karte bekommt, zu der passt's.

Besten Dank für all eure Kommentare zum letzten Post. Meine Menschin möchte aber noch schnell was richtig stellen. Es ist nicht so, dass sie sich verpflichtet fühlt zu kommentieren. Aber sie ist eben eine höfliche junge Dame und sie denkt, dass es wirklich sehr unhöflich ist, wenn man nicht zurückkommentiert. Sie erwartet keinen Kommentar zurück, wenn sie irgendwo einen hinterlässt, aber trotzdem findet sie es nicht schön und auch ein bisschen enttäuschend, wenn man irgendwo ständig Kommentare hinterlässt und nie kommt was zurück. Oder? Schliesslich ist es ein Nehmen und ein Geben. Darum haben wir die Regel: hinterlasse einen Kommentar, dann gibt es auch einen zurück. Vielleicht nicht immer grad sofort, aber sicher irgendwann.

So, jetzt checke ich besser, was mein Mensch so macht, der steht am Grill und fummelt da rum, ich muss ihn überwachen und allenfalls meine Menschin warnen, bevor das Ding in die Luft geht!!

News!! that might be interesting for you (or maybe not...)

Hi blogging buddies... some of you know that I'm always in a rush and have a lot to do. I work 100%, have a long distance to my office and back (in the worst case 3 hrs a day), I have many animals and other hobbies. My weekends are packed with friends and family and I just don't have the time to comment daily. Some of you post daily or even twice a day and believe me: I can't catch up with you all!!! Besides, if I spend more time in blogland to do my commenting, I have no time left for crafting and that would be very sad.

I really appreciate your interest in my blog and I love all your sweet comments and kind words. THANK YOU!!

I've decided to stop commenting so often. From now on I will do it like this: if you leave me a comment, I will leave you one back. I guess that is only fair. I will NOT comment if you have word verification, I don't want to proove that I'm no robot and just can't read these silly numbers and letters, they drive me nuts!!!

I have a few blogs that I follow since the beginning and some of these blogging ladies have become dear friends to me and I will visit these blogs regularly.

I try to blog once a week, if it's more, it's just luck or I'm on vacation *lol*!

Hallo meine lieben Blogger-Freunde…einige von euch wissen ja, dass ich immer viel um die Ohren habe. Ich arbeite 100% und habe einen langen Arbeitsweg (hin- und zurück bis zu 3h wenn es schlecht läuft). Ich habe meine vielen Haustiere und noch andere Hobbies. Meine Wochenenden sind meist vollgepackt mit Freunden und Familie und ich habe darum schlichtweg nicht die Zeit, täglich zu kommentieren und auf allen Blogs rumzusausen.

Einige von euch posten ja täglich etwas, oder sogar zweimal täglich, uff, ich komme da einfach mit dem kommentieren nicht nach!! Ausserdem finde ich es total blöde, wenn ich vor lauter kommentieren nicht mehr zum basteln komme!

Ich schätze euer Interesse an meinem Blog und meinen Werken sehr, eure immer lieben Kommentare und netten Worte sind so toll, HERZLICHEN DANK!

Ich habe mich nun entschlossen, dass ich nicht mehr so viel kommentieren werde. Ab sofort werde ich es so handhaben: wenn du mir einen Kommentar hinterlässt, dann werde ich auch einen bei dir hinterlassen, das ist wohl fair, oder? Ausserdem werde ich NICHT kommentieren, wo die Sicherheitsabfrage eingestellt ist. Zum einen will ich mich nicht beweisen, dass ich kein Roboter bin und zum anderen kann ich die doofen Zahlen und Buchstaben oft nicht lesen, die gehen mir auf die Nerven!!!

Natürlich habe ich ein paar Blogs von ganz lieben Bloggerinnen, die ich schon seit Anfang an verfolge und bei denen schaue ich weiterhin regelmässig vorbei.

Ich versuche, einmal wöchentlich zu kommentieren, wenn es mehr ist, dann habe ich wahrscheinlich Ferien *lach*!

Ich hoffe, ihr versteht das! Ausserdem habe ich bald ein Candy für euch, als Entschuldigung sozusagen. Darum sage ich nur: drannenbleiben, drannenbleiben, drannenbleiben!

I wonder if...

...my human friend will make me a birthday card?! What do you think??? It's my big day on Friday and I hope she will create me something! But I guess she is too busy to even realise that I'll turn 14!!! whoo hooo... she always says that I'm behaving like an aged woman but that is not true! I'm young at heart and just because my legs are a bit stiff and I have stertorous breathing when I sleep (my mean human friend calls it death rattle!!!) does not mean that I'm an aged woman...

Tomorrow she has to muck out the bunnies home and on Friday she has to do the laundry and muck out her own home. And on Saturday she will help a dear friend moving. And since I'm not allwed to comment your cards without her, it will take a while until we can come to your blogs (I guess). So hold on...we soon will have another lush candy started...

Ich frage mich, ob mir meine Menschin zum Geburtstag auch eine Karte macht?! Was meint ihr? Denn mein Geburtstag ist am Freitag und ich hoffe, dass sie mir was bastelt! Aber ich vermute, sie wird zu beschäftigt sein, um überhaupt zu realisieren, dass ich schon 14 werde!!! Sie sagt immer, dass ich eine alte Tante bin, aber das ist überhaupt nicht wahr. Ich bin im Herzen jung udn bloss weil ich ein bisschen steif gehe und beim Schlafen vor mich hin röchle (sie nennt es ganz fies "Abkratz-Gröchseln"), heisst das noch lange nicht, dass ich eine Greisin bin!

Morgen muss sie die Hasis misten, dann am Freitag muss sie waschen und ihre Wohnung misten und am Samstag hilft sie einer lieben Freundin zu zügeln. Und da ich nicht alleine kommentieren kommen darf, wird es halt noch eine Weile dauern, bis wir euch besuchen. Also, wartet schön auf uns...und wir haben schon bald ein neues Candy am Start...

Gonna Miss You

My human friend made a card for the retirement of a nice co-worker in her office. She'll miss Maja who was the secretary of the Borad of Directors and Management, just like my human friend is.

She is still in awe (my human friend, not Maja...). Yesterday she enjoyed another live performance of Celtic Woman in Zurich and it was once again overwhelming. These Irish lassies have angelic voices, it makes one cry it's so beautiful, my human friend says.

Now she'll go for a walk with her boyfriend (he is complaining because she never has time for him...but I always cuddle with him, I'm much better than she is!!!).

Meine Menschin hat zur Pensionierung einer lieben Arbeitskollegin diese Karte gemacht. Sie wird Maja vermissen, die ebenfalls Sekretärin der Geschätsleistung und des Verwaltungsrats war, genau wie meine Menschin.

Sie ist immer noch ganz entzückt (also meine Menschin, nicht Maja) vom gestrigen Abend. Wieder einmal war sie am Konzert der Celtic Woman in Zürich und es war wie jedes mal einfach überwältigend. Diese Irischen Ladies haben Stimmen wie Engel, die einem zum Weinen bringen, weil's so schon ist, sagt meine Menschin.

Jetzt geht sie noch ein bisschen mit Schatzi spazieren, der beklagt sich schon, weil sie immer im Bastelzimmer ist und keine Zeit für ihn hat. Dabei kann ich viel besser mit ihm kuscheln als sie!!

aca: anonymous craft addict!

I sneaked into the bureau to write this post. My human friend is already in bed, she is very tired. She has a lot to do in the office. Got another new co-worker and as always (or she says that it starts to become a bit taken for granted...) it's her that has to show the new lady everything. That's very tiring to explain everything and then do the daily work beside this. And at home she has a lot to do and her weekends are packed with dates and it starts to stress her.

So please don't be sad if she is not here in blogland...she will visit you as soon as she has a few hours time, probably on Saturday afternoon or Sunday. Promised!!

In the office she has the acronym "aca", that's for Alessandra CAlligaris. But it could as well be Anonymous Craft Addict. Last week she was hungry and made herself a yummie soup with these little pasta-letters and she got the cool idea to use them in a card as well...she even thinks of crafting while cooking dinner!!

I told her not to play with food, but she wouldn't listen. When I play with my food (alive mouse) she thinks it's not funny at all. Please, someone explain me the difference!!!!!!

Ich habe mich ins Büro geschlichen um diesen Post zu machen, denn meine Menschin schläft schon tief und fest. Sie ist so müde, weil sie so viel zu tun hat im Büro. Schon wieder ist eine neue Arbeitskollegin gekommen und wieder (oder sie sagt, es ist schon fast selbstverständlich geworden) muss sie diese einarbeiten. Das ist echt ermüdend, wenn man nebenbei noch genug zu tun hat! Dann hat sie ja noch zu Hause so viel zu tun und die Wochenenden sind auch vollgepackt mit Terminen und das stresst meine Menschin ganz schön!

Also, bitte nicht böse sein, wenn sie momentan nicht im Blog unterwegs ist, sie holt alles auf. Wahrscheinlich am Samstag oder Sonntag, versprochen!

Im Büro hat meine Menschin den Kürzel "aca", der steht für die Anfangsbuchstaben bei Alessandra CAlligaris. Aber er könnte auch für Anonymous Craft Addict (Anonyme Bastlersüchtige) stehen... letzte Woche hat sie sich nämlich eine Suppe gemacht mit den tollen Pasta-Buchstaben und ihr ist sogleich eine Idee gekommen, wie sie die im Bastelzimmer verwenden könnte. Sogar beim Kochen denkt sie ans Basteln...

Ich habe ihr gesagt, dass man mit dem Essen nicht spielen darf, aber sie wollte nicht hören. Dabei schimpft sie mit mir immer, wenn ich mit meinem Essen spiele...was da wäre: eine lebende Maus. Kann mir bitte mal jemand den Unterschied erklären???!!!

Let's play Bingo at Scraphouse!

It's the first of a new lovely month and this means A NEW CHALLENGE!! at Scraphouse. This month's theme is BINGO and my human friend made a Bingo tablet for you (she had a little help from her lovely teamie Melanie-Jane who speaks French and is brilliant with a piccie-program). My human friend wanted to relax. She planned it. She lived for these three days. She NEEDED three days of lazyness and putting her feet up. And I wanted her to cuddle with me.

But instead she was invited, ate way too much, was busy with shopping and she cleaned the flat, washed the laundry, ironed it. Then she cleaned the windows, dusted and hoovered and she cleaned the bunnies home. And as if this wasn't enough, she suffers from hayfever since the weather became so nice and now she gulps down pills after pills and is constantly tired. 

So I can only show you a few men's cards that she recently made for all the male friends and relatives.

Meine Menschin wollte dieses Wochenende entspannen. Sie plante das. Sie lebte vorgängig für diese drei freien Tage. Sie BRAUCHTE diese drei Tage des Nichtstun und der Füsse hoch legen. Statt dessen verbrachte sie die Zeit mit Einkaufen, Waschen, Bügeln, Putzen, Hasen misten, Fenster schrubben, Abstauben, Staubsaugen und ausserdem, wenn sie nicht damit beschäftigt war, dann war sie eingeladen auf Besuch und hat viel zu viel gegessen.

Und weil jetzt auch noch das Wetter so schön geworden ist, hat sie konstant Heuschnupfen und schluckt eine Pille nach der anderen und ist nun dauernd müde.

Also kann ich euch nur ein paar Karten zeigen, die sie für die Männer in ihrem Freundes- und Verwandtenkreis gemacht hat.

Relax...and take it easy!

That is what my human friend is going to do the next three days. We have long weekend here in Switzerland. And guess what?! I will make her cuddle with me all day long! She hates that, mind you. But I love cuddling up with her (or anyone, as long as someone strokes me I'm happy). But don't tell her, she thinks only her strokes make me happy.

This card is for a co-worker that needed it for friends. She wants to put a voucher in for a day at a thermal bath.

Tutorial for Hair Gel Card

Hi folks

OK, now here comes the tutorial on how to make a card with hair gel. My human friend steals the gel from her boyfriend because she has no own gel for her long hair. I heard him this morning in the bathroom, he was wondering where all his gel went to!! I tried to tell him but he did not understand my meow's and purr's. What a pity...I'd love to see him scold my human friend like she scolds me all the times!

Anyway...she made a tutorial and bossed me around to take piccies. She knows I'm a bit helpless with taking piccies. My paws are not made for taking pics. She doesn't understand this. I hope you'll find the pics useful, peeps!

CREDIT GOES TO MINDY WHO MADE THE TUTORIAL IN THE MAGNOLIA INK MAGAZINE!



1.

You need your coloured image, a baggy, some distress ink refill to dye the clear hairgel and of course you need your hubbies hairgel (or your own, but my human friend swears that it's better to use someone else's gel...)

 2.

ONE drop of the distress ink refiller only!! Let the drop fall into the baggy

 3.

this should be the max amount of hairgel to put into the baggy to the drop of distress ink.

 4.

Close the baggy tightly

5.

mix the drop and the hairgel with your fingers

 6.

it should look like this when finished mixing it together

 7.

then choose your spellbinders (or you can make it square like here and here)

 8.

cut your image to the size you prefer (make sure that it's smaller than the baggy's size but still big enough for the spellbinder)

 9.

now push back the gel on the top and bottom of the baggy like shown in the pic below

grab your cellotape

put your pic upside down onto the baggy

 12.

tape the upper loose part of the baggy to the back of the image and also the under part

my human friend also tapes the still open right and left sides like shown in the piccies below. Hope you know what we mean!

now it's time to cut out a piece of design paper of your choice. It should be slighly bigger than the image. If you want to, you can make two layers like my human friend did

Now you can decorate your card as you like. This is the finished project of the cute little Mermaid!
